Terms and Conditions
All adverts are accepted by The Grapevine on the understanding that they are copyright free. This includes any images, logos, photos, trade logos, clip art or any other content that is used in the advert. The advertiser will acquire any necessary permission for the use of any images, logos, photos, trade logos, clip art or any other content that is used in their advert/article/content. Adverts are accepted on the understanding that descriptions of goods and services are legal, decent, truthful, honest and socially responsible, accurate and adhere to marketing and advertising law.
We reserve the right to refuse advertisements which may be defamatory or offensive or which promote products that may be considered indecent. The Grapevine reserves the right to refuse/edit at its discretion.
Payment is required 14 days from date of invoice. The advertiser shall not be entitled to make deduction or withhold payment for any reason at all.
If an advert is cancelled before the end of the booking period you will be re-invoiced for the correct number of adverts you have had.
Adverts are accepted on the understanding that descriptions of goods and services are fair and accurate and adhere to marketing and advertising laws. It is the advertiser’s responsibility to check the advert and ensure that it is correct at the copy approval stage. No responsibility can be taken by The Grapevine for any errors subsequently identified.
Adverts can be changed as long as it is before the copy deadline date.
We do not guarantee any position in the magazine except the premium pages.
We do not offer any exclusivity to any one particular business. There could/will be other advertisers offering the same service as your business.
Any adverts supplied in JPEG, PDF or any other pre-prepared format will be inserted in The Grapevine supplied and will be assumed not to require copy approval. These files should be supplied at a minimum of 300 dpi. No responsibility can be taken for the print quality of any advert supplied at a lower resolution. These files may be re-sized to fit the appropriate space.
There is no fee for the professional building of adverts and artwork carried out by The Grapevine on the advertiser’s behalf. But if you wish to use it elsewhere you can purchase the artwork.
Any advert/article/design which The Grapevine has created cannot be used in another publication or advertising medium (e.g. website) without the written approval of The Grapevine. A fee may be payable if an advertiser wishes to re-use an advert/editorial/article/design in this way. The minimum package that can be taken is a two-month package.
Deadline dates are available on request.
The Grapevine gives no guarantee of the level of response to adverts/articles etc. The Grapevine is unable to offer a refund if no response is received. For the best chance of success, it is recommended that an advert is placed in three or more issues.
Any advertisement can be cancelled without any cost to the advertiser if it is cancelled prior to any publication taking place. Any design fee will still have to be paid for.
Some advertising categories have a waiting list.
Advertisers must notify The Grapevine that they wish to stop running their advert. Cancellations must be received before the deadline date for that issue.
When an advertisement/article is booked verbally, by post or by email you are agreeing to all the Terms and Conditions listed above.
Note: Where the term advert/advertisement is used this means any advertisement, editorial, article, or any other material (e.g. community content) supplied for publication.
